NIC Learning Center Highlights

  • E-Courses - Over 200 Self-paced training courses on an array of leadership, management, and NIC developed specialized correctional topics. NIC has recently added 139 new online courses to its catalog. The newly-added courses include such areas as budget, strategic thinking, green business, motivating others, managing change, managing conflict, and teambuilding.

  • Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) - This method of training is a highly interactive delivery mechanism that allows learners to freely and openly interact from their computers in "real time." Sessions are often highly charged, with students sharing experience, perspectives and opinions with the instructor/facilitator and other students. You will enjoy the training and benefit from the experience, you just won't have to travel to get it. VILT offerings complement leadership, management, and special correctional topics.

  • Classroom Training - Free yourself from paper applications! Register for all of NIC's traditional classroom training in the NIC Learning Center. Some NIC programs are held at the National Corrections Academy in Aurora, Colorado, and some are held at sites around the country.
