ANNOTATION: Preceded by seven expert commentaries on DNA testing, this study reports on 28 cases in which convicted persons were released from prison as a result of post-trial DNA testing of evidence. The study is intended to encourage discussion of the challenges to the scientific and justice communities presented by DNA evidence.
