ANNOTATION: To learn how leading organizations apply information technology to improve mission performance, the information management practices of ten senior management teams were studied. Five private sector and five state government organizations were examined, as well as nine federal agencies to assess the applicability of outside practices to government agencies. Data were collected through interviews and documentary analysis.
