The Crown Files Research Project: A Study of Dangerous Offenders
Publication year:
1996
| Cataloged on:
Oct. 31, 2006
ANNOTATION: Undertaken as a research project to collect information on the characteristics of dangerous offenders (DOs), this report describes two parts of that study. Part one reviews penitentiary and Crown files which provide a description of DOs. Part two presents the results of an interview-based survey of Crown attorneys who have successfully prosecuted DOs. Among the study's findings are that the majority of DOs are sex offenders, and antisocial personalities are frequent among DOs.
