Publication year:
1998
| Cataloged on:
Oct. 31, 2006
ANNOTATION: This report examines the growth of the elderly inmate population in the South, illustrates several relevant issues and challenges confronting southern states, and reviews the programs and policies which these states have implemented to address the needs of the aging inmates. The challenges surrounding their care resemble those faced by caring for disabled, infirm, HIV-AIDs patients, or mentally and terminally ill inmates, and these challenges are also addressed in this report.
