Publication year: 1997 | Cataloged on: Oct. 31, 2006
Thumbnail preview ANNOTATION: Various models of intervention have been developed to address the needs of persons with co-occurring disorders. Therapeutic communities, 12-step programs, and cognitive-behavioral interventions that were designed initially to treat mental illness have been modified to address co-occurring substance abuse.
