ANNOTATION: The EEOC issued this document in order to provide guidance regarding employer liability for harassment by supervisors based no sex, race, color, religion, national origin, age, disability or protected activity. Sections include an introduction, vicarious liability rule applies to unlawful harassment on all covered bases, who qualifies as a supervisor, harassment by supervisor that results in a tangible employment action, harassment by supervisor that does not result in a tangible employment action, harassment by "alter ego" of employer, and a conclusion.
