Publication year:
1998
| Cataloged on:
Oct. 31, 2006
ANNOTATION: Little is known about how to treat adults with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome or Fetal Alcohol Effects (FAS/FAE), and nothing is known about their response to treatment. Since many of those with FAS/FAE will come into contact with the criminal justice system, it is important to be able to identify these individuals in order to determine their needs and to develop effective treatment programs. This document provides background information about FAS/FAE, the course and consequences of FAS/FAE in an individual's life, and FAS/FAE in the criminal justice system.
