Digitized Inmate ID Cards: One Method for Increasing Security
Publication year:
2000
| Cataloged on:
Oct. 31, 2006
ANNOTATION: The Arizona Department of Corrections' new format for inmate and staff ID cards is described. Digital photographs and fingerprints, colorization, font size, and a non-reproducible bar code make the IDs nearly tamper proof. The digital information contained on the cards can electronically connected to other law enforcement agencies, facilitating access to data that may help solve unsolved crimes.
