ANNOTATION: The results of an assessment of profiling methods is provided. The pilot study developed a protocol which describes the steps necessary to collect and analyze systematic information of this underserved population -- the profile, the program inventory, and the needs assessment. Appendixes include: pilot study -- female wards in the California Youth Authority (CYA); female ward survey with data distributions; revised survey; staff survey instrument; and survey instrument.
