ANNOTATION: Issues surrounding the use of restorative justice with individuals of cross-cultural perspectives are examined. Sections of this document look at: the scope and framework of restorative justice; restorative justice -- program adaptations; potential cross-cultural pitfalls and dangers such as differences in communication styles, differences among cultures, differences within cultures, and racism as a subset of cultural conflict; ways to increase positive interaction; and concluding remarks. Appendixes include a hypothetical case of a community reparation board meeting and a poem concerning diversity.
