ANNOTATION: "[A] subsequent contact rate with the juvenile or adult system is calculated for juveniles disposed before the [Texas juvenile justice] reforms were adopted [in 1995] (p. i)." This report provides information regarding: an overview and discussion of methodology; juvenile characteristics; results; and subsequent contact in the adult system. Fifty-four percent of juvenile offenders had subsequent contact with the criminal justice system two years after their initial disposition.
