ANNOTATION: Evaluative results based upon data from July 1, 1991 through June 30, 2000 are reported. Contents of this report include: program types; glossary of terms; executive summary; demographics, outcomes, and recommitments across program types; nonsecure substance abuse treatment; secure substance abuse treatment; probation and restitution centers (PRCs); jail bed program; work camp programs; and outpatient substance abuse programs. The success rate (three years after initial program entry) for the jail incarceration program was the highest at 93.9%, with the lowest rate of success (38.5%) being experienced by secure drug treatment.
