An Evaluation : Prison Health Care: Department of Corrections
Publication year:
2001
| Cataloged on:
Oct. 31, 2006
ANNOTATION: Findings from an independent review of prison health care services in Wisconsin are presented. The following sections are contained in this report: letter of transmittal; executive summary; introduction to health care standards, organization, and staffing; expenditures for health care; delivery of emergency care; delivery of routine medical care; delivery of health care in out-of-state facilities; delivery of mental health care; assessing quality of care; and future considerations. Due to the increase in costs for medical services and prescription drugs beyond the control of this agency, the ability to reduce health care expenditures is greatly curtailed.
