An Environmental Assessment (EA) pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) concerning five alternative sites for a prison facility in Pima County is presented. This report contains sections on: purpose and need for the project; alternatives development; affected environment and environmental consequences; list of preparers; and consultation with agencies. A biological assessment and an archeological study are appended. The preferred site for this proposed prison expansion project is on Wilmot Road immediately south of the existing prison facility. The alternative site is located in the northern part of Aura Valley.
