An Examination of Aboriginal and Caucasian Women Offender Risk and Needs Factors

Publication year: 2000 | Cataloged on: Oct. 31, 2006
ANNOTATION: The need for research that transcends the over-representation of cultural heterogeneity is discussed while analyzing and comparing risk and needs levels of federal women offenders. Contents of this report include: executive summary; introduction; method; population characteristics; results; and discussion. The overall implication is that "the lack of attention to similarity across racial categories may result in overlooking or minimizing elements of individual shared life histories that may contribute to understanding and identifying criminogenic factors" (p. iv).
