ANNOTATION: An evaluation of the cognitive-behavioral intervention Reasoning and Rehabilitation Program (R&R) by Ross and Fabiano as adapted and referred to as the Georgia Cognitive Skills Program is presented. This program "endeavors to modify offenders' impulsive, egocentric, illogical and rigid thinking (p. i)." This study contains the following sections: executive summary; introduction; description of the program; methodology; results (program participation characteristics, Colorado Offender Attitude Survey (Pre/Posttest), recidivism, technical violations, and employment); and discussion and recommendations. Rates of return to prison for program completers are 17% less than the rates for the control group.
