ANNOTATION: The ability of faith-based institutions to effectively serve high-risk youth is examined. Sections of this report describe: the demonstration; the 11 demonstration sites; the research; early learnings -- the challenges of capacity building, connecting with funding sources, evaluation, and targeting high-risk youth, the need for focused leadership and collaboration, the importance of planning and program strategies and building relationships of trust, and the role of faith; and looking ahead.
