ANNOTATION: An evaluation of a Christian-centered (faith-based) therapeutic program operating in four prisons in England and Wales is summarized. Sections of this review include: introduction; evaluation aims; results -- attitudinal study, perceptions of Kainos, equality of opportunity study, and reconviction study; and conclusion. While there was a 3% reduction in the one-year reconviction rate for Kainos participants compared to the control group, this decrease is not statistically significant.
