ANNOTATION: Findings from a review of selected aspects of OJP program evaluations of discretionary grants awarded by the BJA Byrne Program and the Violence Against Women Office (VAWO) are provided. Sections of this report include: results in brief; background; scope and methodology; number, type, status of completion, and award amount; methodological problems have adversely affected three of four impact evaluations; conclusions; recommendations; and agency comments and this evaluation.
