ANNOTATION: Specifically designed for the emergency first responder community, these volumes focus upon the evaluation and purchase of personal protective equipment (PPE). Volume I serves as a selection tool for all PPE, and is comprised of nine sections: introduction; PPE; introduction to chemical warfare agents, toxic industrial materials, and biological agents; overview of respiratory protection systems; percutaneous protection; PPE selection factors; evaluation of respiratory protective equipment; protective equipment; evaluation of percutaneous protection (garments); and evaluation of percutaneous protection (apparel). The remaining volumes are repositories for data sheets on respiratory protective equipment (IIa), percutaneous protection -- garments (IIb), and percutaneous protection -- apparel (IIc).
