ANNOTATION: A family literacy program for fathers of children 12 or younger is highlighted. "Breaking Barriers with Books" is a five-week program in which "men attend two hours of classes each week, create a book of essays and poems written for their children, and tape one or two videos of stories they read to their kids" (p. 1).
