ANNOTATION: A profile of boot camp program participants, findings from an offender self-report survey, and recidivism of program participants are provided. In addition to an executive summary, this report contains four sections: introduction and overview; who goes to boot camp?; Boot Camp Offender Survey; and factors related to recidivism. Appendixes supply: impacts of eligibility criteria; characteristics of offenders by year; admission stage; decision-making by factors; motivation for treatment by factors; responses from Parole Self-Report Survey; and admission, graduation, and parole stages. Graduates experience a 35% recidivism rate.
