ANNOTATION: The "case investigation and the nasal culture prevalence survey conducted by MSDH and CDC during November 2000" regarding the infection of 31 inmates by MRSA are summarized (p. 1). Infections were transmitted person-to-person. Identification, appropriate treatment, and proper preventive measures can reduce incidence of MRSA.
