ANNOTATION: Results from a study focusing on factors that affect successful therapeutic community program completion and program outcomes are reported and analyzed. Sections of this document include: executive summary; project description; scope and methodology; detailed findings regarding external accountability and constraints, program approach and content, program participation, program completion, and post-release convictions; and analysis and discussion. Program graduates have a post-release conviction rate of 13% compared to the rate of 30% for the control group.
