ANNOTATION: Results from a national survey regarding the use of case classification by probation and parole agencies are presented. This report contains the following sections: introduction; case classification in community corrections; research questions; methods; results; discussion, limitations, and conclusions. While the majority of agencies use tools to assess risks and needs, instruments are still not being used to their "full potential".
