Washington State's Drug Courts for Adult Defendants: Outcome Evaluation and Cost-Benefit Analysis
Publication year:
2003
| Cataloged on:
Oct. 31, 2006
ANNOTATION: Benefits and costs associated with drug courts are investigated. Four Parts comprise this report: the emergence of drug courts; a systematic review of the evidence from other drug court evaluation; an evaluation of Washington's adult drug courts; and summary of the findings. While drug courts are more expensive to operate than other criminal courts, benefits outweigh the costs -- $1.74 is generated for each $1.00 of costs.
