ANNOTATION: Findings from an evaluation of the Sex Offender Treatment Programme (SOTP) of England and Wales are reported. Sections contained in this document are: key points; the sample; the program; treatment impact; discussion; directions for future research; and conclusions. Two-year sexual reconviction rates show that the "Core Programme has a significant impact on sexual and violent reconviction for medium risk offenders and is also successful at reducing reconviction for low risk offenders" (p. 4).
