ANNOTATION: Results from an evaluation of the implementation and effectiveness of the Stoke-on-Trent Prolific Offender Project (in operation between June 2000 and September 2002) are provided. Seven sections comprise this report: introduction; what are intensive supervision and monitoring projects; the Stoke-on-Trent project; case study; cost effectiveness analysis; implementation considerations; and transferable lessons and questions. Participating offenders were 45% less likely to be reconvicted than non-participants.
