ANNOTATION: The effectiveness of the cognitive-behavioral program called Corrective Thinking or Truthought (based on the research of Yochelson and Samenow) is explored. Sections of this report include: introduction; methods; results according to bivariate analysis and multivariate analysis for the outcome evaluation; results according to descriptive statistics and multivariate analysis for the responsivity evaluation; discussion; and policy implications and conclusions. The Corrective Thinking Cognitive Program is "no more or less effective than other correctional programming in reducing recidivism" (p. 43).
