Report on Safety Issues Raised By Living Arrangements for and Locations of Sex Offenders in the Community
Publication year:
2004
| Cataloged on:
Oct. 31, 2006
ANNOTATION: Safety issues related to living arrangements and residency locations of sex offenders are examined. This report is comprised of the following sections: executive summary; introduction; background; sex offender registration/community notification; national information; shared living arrangements (SLAs); research study; conclusions and recommendations; and continuum of housing. Significantly fewer violations were made by high-risk sex offenders living in SLAs. Restrictions on where sex offenders may live do not necessarily deter re-offending.
