Predicting Incarceration of Clients of a Psychiatric Probation and Parole Service
Publication year:
2000
| Cataloged on:
Oct. 31, 2006
ANNOTATION: The "extent to which clinical characteristics, psychiatric status, and use of mental health services explain incarceration for technical violations of probation or parole rather than incarceration for new offenses" is assessed (p. 1). Sections of this article are abstract, introduction, method, results, and discussion and conclusions. While participation in treatment reduces the risk of incarceration, greater monitoring of clients by mental health services results in an increase in the risk of incarceration.
