Voice Translators for Law Enforcement

Publication year: 2004 | Cataloged on: Oct. 31, 2006
ANNOTATION: A brief overview of "The Voice Recognition and Evaluation Report" is presented. The report compared three electronic devices (e.g., the Voice Response Translator (VRT), the Phraselator, and the Universal Translator) that supply the user with translations in several languages. The ability of these devices to translate accurately and operate in noisy environments were tested. Overall, the VRT is the easiest to operate and has many advantages the others lack.
