ANNOTATION: The "spectrum of psychopathology that characterizes the general nonhospitalized population in a women's prison" is examined (p. 7). Following an executive summary, this report discusses: psychiatric symptoms, victimization, and personality; coping and adjustment in prison; and personality disorders and violence. Very high levels of self-reported psychiatric distress and victimization are reported.
