ANNOTATION: The use of restorative cautioning (which "aims to encourage the offender to take responsibility for repairing the harm caused by their offence") is examined (p. 1). This document contains sections regarding: key points; the sample; the policy of restorative cautioning; the practice of restorative cautioning; and the frequency and seriousness of offending. Results showing the effectiveness of restorative cautioning are inconclusive.
