| Cataloged on:
Oct. 31, 2006
ANNOTATION: Re-arrest and re-admission rates to secure 24-hour residential placements for youth referred to the Serious Juvenile Offender (SJO) program are examined. Sections comprising this report are: executive summary; the SJO program; SJO population profile; SJO recidivism statistics; and SJO program effectiveness. Not only did the SJO program not reduce recidivism, but SJO recidivism rates were "significantly" higher than the rates of recidivism for the comparison group.
