Publication year: 2005 | Cataloged on: Oct. 31, 2006
ANNOTATION: Restriction on Bail (RoB) "requires defendants who are charged with trigger offences who test positive for a specified Class A drug to undergo a drug assessment and participate in follow-up which may include treatment if it can be established that heir offending is drug-related" (p. v). Five sections follow an executive summary: introduction; the RoB process; the use of RoB; implementation issues; and conclusions and recommendations. While 85% of defendants attended their drug assessment, 22% breached bail with RoB.
