ANNOTATION: Results from a study of "the initial efficacy, feasibility, and acceptability of 'Seeking Safety (SS)' treatment in a sample of incarcerated women with comorbid PTSD [posttraumatic stress disorder] and SUD [substance use disorder]" are proffered (p. 6). This report contains the following sections: introduction and background; method; measures; results -- satisfaction with SS, outcome of SS participants, and comparative outcome; and discussion. While participants found SS treatment of benefit, there was no difference found in outcome between SS participants and the TAU (treatment as usual) control group.
