ANNOTATION: Procedures to be followed by and obligations required of service providers to victims of criminal activity are presented. This Code is divided into 16 sections: introduction; organizations required to provide services under the Code; persons entitled to receive services; vulnerable or intimidated victims; the police; Joint Police/Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) Witness Care Units; the Crown Prosecution Service; Her Majesty's Courts Service; Youth Offending Teams (YOTs); Probation National Offender Management Service; Prisons National Offender Management Service (NOMS); the Parole Board; the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA); Criminal Injuries Compensation Appeal Panel (CICAP); the Criminal Cases Review Commission; and complaints about any of the service providers with obligations under the Code.
