ANNOTATION: Practical information that assists in law enforcement agency integration of new technology into operations is provided. Following an overview of the guide and four facts about small and rural police agency IT (information technology) projects are four parts: preliminary project planning -- determining the need, looking within the organization, and defining the alternatives; creating a project plan and its components; acquiring the technology -- understanding procurement and contracting; and implementing and maintaining the technology.
