ANNOTATION: Results from a study on how to restructure youth corrections in California are provided. The following sections are contained in this report: executive summary; introduction; methodology; present state of the Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ); findings according to stakeholder goals, legal constraints, budget, county-level services, restructuring "involved eliminating the state's reliance on large training schools and shifting the emphasis to county and regionally administered services" while spending no additional funds (p. 2).
