Evaluation of Ohio's Drug Courts: A Cost Benefit Analysis
Publication year:
2005
| Cataloged on:
Oct. 31, 2006
ANNOTATION: "Specifically, this project seeks to assess whether drug courts save taxpayer dollars as either a less expensive sentencing option or through reductions in recidivism" (p. 2). Sections contained in this report are: introduction; methodology; results according to probation, Community-Based Correctional Facility (CBCF), parole, halfway house, and overall; and summary and discussion. While felony level drug courts are effective and cost less than alternatives, probation significantly reduces recidivism more than drug courts.
