This website allows access to an article describing the potential hazards of a Taser stun gun. The peer-reviewed Journal of the National Academy of Forensic Engineers published a study showing that the Taser is 39 times more powerful than originally claimed by the manufacturer. The results seem to indicate that the Taser is a lethal weapon since it can cause seizures and ventricular fibrillation. Taser did not participate in the scientific study and questions its conclusions.
