ANNOTATION: The "unique program and service needs of 10 to 17 year-old girls involved or at-risk of becoming involved in the state's [Indiana's] juvenile justice system" are identified (p. 6-7). This report includes these sections: introduction; gender differences in delinquency and factors predisposing youth to delinquency -- an analysis of state and national data; girls, women, and front-line workers speak -- an analysis of focus group data; gender-relevant needs of youth from the perspective of juvenile justice professionals and youth service providers -- an analysis of statewide survey data; and discussion.
