Research and Evaluation: Building Infrastructure and Capacity in Arizona

Publication year: 2005 | Cataloged on: Oct. 31, 2006
ANNOTATION: "This report seeks to look at the state of Arizona's evaluation capacity as a whole, its ability at the program level to utilize available resources, and report on needed improvements to the system to allow for program evaluation" (p. i). Sections following an executive summary are: introduction; purpose; methodology; background; Criminal Justice Research Advisory Group (CJRAG); statewide efforts; survey interviews of JABG, Weed and Seed sites, and Drug Free Community Coalitions, findings; recommendations; and conclusion. While Arizona has strong databases, it must develop awareness of the importance of evaluation, increase data sharing and accessibility, and expand its data infrastructure.
