ANNOTATION: Results from an evaluation of a working model for HI-CAAP (High Intensity Criminal Alien Apprehension and Prosecution Project) are provided. Four sections follow an executive summary: introduction; methodology; results of this HI-CAAP implementation according to identification of previously deported criminal aliens and federal prosecution of HI-CAAP aliens; and summary and recommendations. While this report is not an outcome evaluation, it does show that considerable progress is being made.
