ANNOTATION: Pre-booking diversion programming for which King County (Seattle) has blended funds from five state and local systems to provide integrated service for offenders with co-occurring disorders, called the Crisis Triage Unit, is described. "When collectively pooled, these resources created a synergy that produced services well beyond the scope of what any single system could have hoped to mobilize on its own" (p. 2).
