ANNOTATION: The positive impact this amendment has on New York's Public Law 1.05 (b) and its relationship to the sentencing model of CCA (Center for Community Alternatives) is discussed. The amendment added a new goal "the promotion of their (convicted person's) successful and productive reentry and reintegration into society" (p. 1) CCA's reintegration-focused sentencing model concentrates on offender reentry practices that also promote public safety.
