ANNOTATION: The characteristics of Sex Offender Treatment Program (SOTP) participants are compared to non-participants. Following a summary, this report examines: felony and violent static risk scores; repeat sex offenders; child sex conviction; average years in prison; age at release; European-American; and Hispanic. A valid comparison group for evaluating SOTPs impact on recidivism was determined.
