ANNOTATION: The intrinsic relationship between sexual coercion and imprisonment is explained. This article is comprised of four parts: sex and sexuality in U.S. prisons; imprisonment as a non-corporal punishment; the failure of the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) -- the Act "fails either to recognize the complicated forms of sexual coercion or to address the underlying structural problems with the prison" (p. 146); and conclusion.
